A new train hall for inter-city and local rail traffic is being built in the heart of New York City.
For this project, seele has been appointed to carry out the fabrication and erection of three free-form roof structures in steel and for the design, fabrication and installation of the aluminum-glass skin above the structural steelwork. The construction of the 5,116sqm roof was planned as a member-node system with tensioned cables and consists of 3,384 insulating glass units and 670t structural steelwork.
