With the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, which contains a library and a concert hall, a project was completed in the heart of the Saudi Arabian oil fields. seele realized a stainless steel tube façade, measuring 30,260sqm. The surface of the envelope consists of thousands of intricately formed stainless steel tubes total-ling around 350 kilometres in length. The 28,600sqm subtructure of the envelope was made of a polygonal steel grid, which was wrapped around the primary con-struction of steel supports and reinforced concrete slabs. © photos seele/Andreas Keller
